13 Detainees Graduate from the RSAT Program
Detainees complete program and return to society
FORSYTH, Ga. – Appling Integrated Treatment Facility held two graduations, February 10th and 17th, for 13 detainees who completed the 9-month Residential Substance Abuse Treatment program. All 13 detainees were released back into their communities following the graduation.
“Twenty-nine men from the Appling ITF program have graduated and returned to society since the beginning of 2016,” said Commissioner Bryson. “I couldn’t be more proud of their accomplishments and I look forward to seeing this number increase as more citizens return to their communities.”
This three-phase, nine-month program is a cognitive behavioral therapy course, implemented in a therapeutic community, in conjunction with our partners at Spectrum. Each phase is comprised of a separate curriculum, to include classes such as Therapeutic Interventions, Substance Abuse Education, Psycho Education, Integrated Dual Diagnosis Treatment, and Relapse Prevention. Detainees are required to complete a progression worksheet for each phase. For more information on the agency’s substance abuse treatment programs, click on the following link: http://bit.ly/1VzqAeC
