Nicholls Police Department came to the facility and arrested Jones.
2) On June 2, 2013 at Rogers State Prison an Officer contacted an Investigator and advised that while riding through the prison reservation he observed a green SUV pulling into the prison cemetery. The Officer questioned the driver Laron Deon Mickens at the cemetery and followed the vehicle. The Officer picked up the Investigator and pulled over the vehicle. Mickens was driving with passenger Timothy Peterson. Mickens and Peterson consented to a search of the vehicle and underneath the seat cover on the front driver’s side, the Investigator found a clear plastic bag containing one ounce of marijuana. Mickens and Peterson were arrested by the Tattnall County Sheriff Office. The Investigator and the Officer returned to the cemetery and found a black trash bag containing nine packages of tobacco and eight packages of marijuana weighing six ounces.
