Forsyth - Georgia Department of Corrections Commissioner Brian Owens announced the promotion of Sherri Bloodworth as Manager of Risk Reduction Services effective May 1, 2013. As Manager of Risk Reduction Services, Bloodworth will manage and supervise all mid-level managers who are responsible for instructional programs.

"Sherri has gained a wealth of knowledge and experience from the various positions she has held within the Department," said Commissioner Owens. "She is truly an asset to our Department and I look forward to her leadership within this new role."

Bloodworth began her career with the Department in 1998 as a Substance Abuse Counselor at Scott State Prison and was later promoted to Assistant Director within the Residential Substance Abuse Treatment (RSAT) program.
