Execution Date Set for Gwinnett County Murderer - Kelly Renee Gissendaner to be Executed on February 25

— The Gwinnett County Superior Court has ordered the execution of convicted murderer Kelly Renee Gissendaner. The court ordered the Georgia Department of Corrections to carry out the execution on a date between February 25 - March 4, 2015. Commissioner Homer Bryson has set the date for Wednesday, February 25, at the Georgia Diagnostic and Classification Prison in Jackson at 7 p.m.

Gissendaner was convicted in 1998 for the murder of her husband Doug Gissendaner. If executed, Gissendaner will be the 35th inmate put to death by lethal injection.
