Execution Date Set for Gwinnett County Murderer - Kelly Renee Gissendaner to be executed on September 29
Forsyth, GA — The Gwinnett County Superior Court has ordered the execution of convicted murderer Kelly Renee Gissendaner. The court ordered the Georgia Department of Corrections to carry out the execution on a date between September 29 - October 6, 2015. Commissioner Homer Bryson has set the date for Tuesday, September 29, at the Georgia Diagnostic and Classification Prison in Jackson at 7 p.m.
Gissendaner was convicted in 1998 for the murder of her husband Doug Gissendaner. If executed, Gissendaner will be the 35th inmate put to death by lethal injection.
