New Assistant Superintendent at Northwest Residential Substance Abuse Treatment Center
FORSYTH, Ga. – The Georgia Department of Corrections (GDC) Commissioner Timothy C. Ward announced the promotion of Scott Keith to Assistant Superintendent at Northwest Residential Substance Abuse Treatment Facility (RSAT) effective February 15, 2022. As Assistant Superintendent, Keith will be responsible for assisting the Superintendent with daily operations of the facility, overseeing staff, and supervising 200 male detainees.
"Keith has proven himself to be an effective leader during his tenure with the department," said Commissioner Timothy C. Ward. "We are confident Northwest RSAT excel under his leadership while developing professional staff, and effectively managing detainees."
Keith began his career with the GDC in 2010 as a Correctional Officer at Walker State Prison (SP). During his tenure at Walker SP, he was promoted through the ranks of Sergeant, Lieutenant, and Captain, where he currently serves.
His departmental training consists of Basic Correctional Officer Training, Sergeants Academy, Field Training Officer Program, POST Instructor Training, Captains Academy, Supervision I, II, and III, and Management I, II, and III.
