New Assistant Superintendent at West Central Integrated Treatment Facility
"Fanning has been a dedicated employee in each position she has held," said Commissioner Timothy C. Ward. "We are confident her counseling background will prove beneficial to the staff and detainees at West Central ITF."
Fanning began her career with the GDC in 2015 as an Adult Basic Education Instructor at Phillips State Prison (SP), and in 2016 she was promoted to a Behavioral Health Counselor II at the same facility. In 2018, she was promoted to Behavioral Health Counselor III at Lee Arrendale SP, and in 2020 she was promoted to a Social Services Program Consultant with the Strategic Intervention Program, where she currently serves.
Fanning holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Georgia and a master’s degree in criminal justice from Clark Atlanta University. Her departmental training consists of Executive Basic Correctional Officer Training, and Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADC-II).
