As the North Regional Director, Taylor will oversee the management of 16 facilities throughout the North Georgia Region.

“In Taylor’s 26 years with the department he has gained invaluable knowledge and experience,” said Commissioner Gregory C. Dozer. “We are confident that under his leadership the North Region will continue to carry out the Department’s mission of managing safe and secure facilities.”

In 2010, he was promoted to Warden at Autry State Prison, and in 2012 he was reassigned to Valdosta State Prison in the same capacity. In 2013, Taylor joined the Department of Juvenile Justice and served as the Director of Augusta Youth Detention Center.
