Contraband Arrest at Multiple State Prisons
On July 14 at Hancock State Prison, after visitation had concluded, security staff discovered contraband that consisted of a green leafy substance on an offender. Visitor Janice Whitmore was arrested by the Hancock County Sheriff’s Office.
On July 14 at Baldwin State Prison, the front entry portal sergeant observed a green leafy substance inside the bag of Officer Reagan Sanner. Officer Sanner consented to a search of her person. The search yielded 13 golf size balls, wrapped in black electrical tape containing an unknown amount of marijuana. Officer Sanner was arrested by the Baldwin County Sheriff's Office.
On July 8 at Lee State Prison, the front entry portal sergeant noticed a strong smell of marijuana as Officer Elisha Whitus entered the front entry. Upon questioning, Officer Whitus surrendered 02 bundles of contraband that contained 76.2 grams of marijuana, 469.4 grams of tobacco and 05 packs of rolling paper. Officer Whitus was arrested by Lee County Sheriff's Office.
