Contraband Arrests at Multiple State Prisons
On October 31 at Hays State Prison, Visitor Demarko Jones could not clear the metal detector before entering the facility. A search of his person found marijuana and tobacco. The group of visitors, Cynthia Dugger, Tiffany Dugger-Jones and Demarko Jones were all arrested and transported to the Chattooga County Jail.
On October 31 at Dooly State Prison, an individual was seen near the facility. Civilian Delois Jones was found with tobacco and cell phones, and footballs of unknown contraband was found on facility grounds. Jones was arrested and transported to the Dooly County jail.
On October 31 at Wilcox State Prison, a vehicle was observed parked near the facility. Further investigation found Civilian Lechelu Maukya who admitted to dropping off Civilian Anthony Cooper behind the facility. Cooper was found with the following contraband: marijuana, tobacco, cellphones, lighters, cellphone chargers, sim cards, flex seal and roofing sealant. Civilians Maukya and Cooper were arrested and transported to Wilcox County Jail.
On October 30 at Calhoun State Prison, a traffic stop found 3 civilians who planned a contraband drop. A search of their vehicle found a bag of unknown contraband. Civilians Angelica Garcia, Ethan Phillips and Toddrick Phillips we all arrested and transported to the Calhoun County Jail.
On October 30 at Central State Prison, Civilians John Cook and Chaney Jackson admitted to throwing contraband on facility grounds. A search found bottles of vitamins. Both Cook and Jackson were arrested and transported to the Bibb County Jail.
