Contraband Arrests at Multiple State Prisons
On January 10 at Autry State Prison, unidentified suspects were observed along the facility's wood-line. A search found 3 unidentified persons, and a taped package of unknown contents was recovered from their vehicle. All three suspects were arrested and transported to the Mitchell County Jail.
On January 10 at Calhoun State Prison, an unidentified suspect was observed near the facility. A search of the grounds found Probationer Antonio Mitchell and Civilian Shacoria Willis with the following contraband: plastic bottles and packages wrapped in black tape consisting of tobacco and smartphones. Mitchell and Willis were arrested and transported to the Calhoun County Jail.
On January 9 at Ware State Prison, Civilians Kyle Gilmore, John Cook, and Curtec Boykin were found inside the county barn property that's adjacent to the facility. They were found with the following contraband: cellular phones, marijuana, and tobacco. Civilians Gilmore, Cook, and Boykin were arrested and transported to the Ware County Jail.
On January 8 at Georgia Diagnostic and Classification Prison, Officer Walker entered the front entry when a bundle of contraband fell from his pants leg. A search found a total of 4 bundles of contraband and rolling papers on his persons. Officer Walker was arrested and transported to the Butts County Jail.
On January 8 at Dooly State Prison, 2 male suspects were found near the facility. A search recovered a drone and a large bag with unknown contraband. Both men were arrested and transported to the Dooly County Jail.
