Contraband Arrests at Multiple State Prisons
On January 24 at Washington State Prison, Officer Austin Hartley could not clear the front entrance. A search was conducted, and the following contraband was found tobacco and rolling papers. Officer Hartley was arrested and transported to the Washington County Jail.
On January 24 at Ware State Prison, Civilian Christen Flemming was seen on the facility grounds with a backpack of contraband. The contraband consisted of a tool, cell phones, batteries, chargers, charging cords, earbuds, welding glue, rolling papers, tobacco, marijuana, and CBD gummies. Flemming was arrested and transported to the Ware County Jail.
On January 21 at Calhoun State Prison, a suspect was spotted on the facility’s grounds, and a search recovered multiple bottles of contraband. Quantavius Butts was found half a mile from the facility, where a traffic stop also found Maurice Hickman and Alexander Perriman. A search was conducted, and the following contraband was found: marijuana, tobacco, smartphones, and a gun. All three civilians were arrested and transported to the Calhoun County Jail.
On January 20 at Calhoun State Prison, Dequan Matos was located on facility grounds with tobacco and cellphones. Matos was arrested and transported to the Calhoun County Jail.
