Contraband Arrests at Telfair and Dooly State Prisons
As of July 2010, The GDC Office of Professional Standards, in conjunction with local & federal law enforcement partners, have investigated or arrested approximately 1,644 staff and civilians for introducing contraband into prisons throughout the state.
On February 12 at Telfair State Prison, a canine unit alerted on Civilian Alexandria Chanel’s vehicle. The vehicle was searched, and marijuana was located. Civilian Chanel was arrested by Telfair County Sheriff's Office.
On February 12 at Telfair State Prison, a canine unit alerted on Civilian Arianna Law’s vehicle. The vehicle was searched, and marijuana was located. Civilian Law was arrested by Telfair County Sheriff's Office.
On February 13 at Dooly State Prison, Civilian Ashley Bradley was arrested by Dooly County Sheriff’s Office after she attempted entry into the facility with contraband.
