Multiple Contraband Arrest at Washington State Prison
As of July 2010, The GDC Office of Professional Standards, in conjunction with local & federal law enforcement partners, have investigated or arrested approximately 1,974 staff and civilians for introducing contraband into prisons throughout the state.
On January 17 at Washington State Prison, a woman was found walking behind the facility. After questioning, she stated that a car was nearby with 2 more women and that there was another woman walking near the facility. She also admitted to throwing a package onto facility grounds. The contraband was located and contained cellphones, marijuana and tobacco. Carrie McIntosh, Ashley Colbert, Malijah Fortsonand Pamela Norman were arrested and transported to Washington County Jail.
